Storage

How does it work?
We collect your stuff, store it for 8 weeks, and deliver it back to you after 8 weeks.
What storage do Prices have?
  • We have lots of different storage options available in Dunedin. You can store with us for a week or for years, and we make the whole process seamless. Our facilities are secure, with monitored alarms/camera surveillance.
  • Please Note: Our facilities are Customs-bonded and MPI, which means it is not possible to access your storage on a regular basis. You can access your unit on occasions when you provide us with 24 hours’ notice within work hours Monday to Friday.

What are your storage safety features?
Your belongings are stored in a professionally managed, monitored facility.

This isn’t an unattended drive-up yard. It’s a controlled, professionally managed environment.
How much notice do you require?

We prefer at least two weeks’ notice for the best results, so we can consult with you and plan our staff, truck and resources accordingly and efficiently. We can do short notice as well depending on the workload we have booked already. Please call to check availability.

Can I store my stuff for more than 8 weeks?

Yes, you can store your items for more than 8 weeks. You can extend your storage for up to 4 additional weeks or for as long as you need for just $45.55/week, including GST.

Please note extensions are for storage only, and redelivery will happen after your final storage period.

What if I'm not available on the collection date?

As long as your belongings are packed in boxes and ready to go in an accessible area, we’ll load it straight into storage. Please let us know if you can’t be there when we collect.

What happens if something gets damaged during my move?

With our experienced and caring team, we have very few damages.

Goods are carried at “Owner's Risk” under the terms of the NZ Carriage of Goods Act. This means that Prices Packers and Movers, as a carrier, will pay no compensation if goods are lost or damaged, unless the loss or damage is intentional.

All items loaded on the truck are blanket-wrapped for protection in transit.

We can offer in-transit insurance at your declared value. Please ask us for a quotation.

Payment Options

How does payment work?
You will have to settle the payment before collection or mobile eftpos on the day before loading. We also accept Afterpay.
When do I pay for my move?

Payment is required before uplifting. Upon booking, an invoice will be sent with bank details for payment via bank transfer. We also accept AfterPay.

If your move is an hourly rate, the team will have a mobile EFTPOS for payment on completion.

If you require a different method of payment, for example, credit card, please contact us to arrange.

Can we buy cartons and packing material from you?

If you choose to pack yourself, yes, we can provide packing material to help with this. Please discuss it with your consultant.

If you choose to provide your own boxes, we are happy to move these for you. Please ensure that boxes are not too heavy for the team to move (e.g., a large box full of books can cause injury to our team).
